Ranvir Singh presents show in place of Lorraine Kelly

Lorraine Kelly was missing from her eponymous show on Monday (May 27) as Ranvir Singh held the fort. She welcomed guests including Emmerdale star Kevin Mathurin, who plays Charles Anderson in the ITV soap.

However what really grabbed viewers attention was Ranvir's resemblance to Eurovision Song Contest queen Loreen. With the presenter's hair styled in shaggy waves there was a definite similarity and viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment.

A user called @shirlpuzz was the first to point it out posing a picture of the presenter from the show. They captioned it: "LOREEN presenting!? Oh come on darlin…This is how shameless Lorraine Kelly is, she knew Loreen was in the UK and has drafted her in to present her own show for her. How on earth Ms Kelly keeps getting away with this is a crime, abysmal woman. #Lorraine," they joked.

@u_ok_hun_ enthused: "Loreen Kelly is something I can get on board with." @tomnicholas_ simply write: "Loreen omg," followed by laughing emojis.

@raccoonpugg joked: "Loreens national service," in reference to the news that Rishi Sunak announced he wants to introduce National Service for teens. Meanwhile @RyanTheSoapking commented: "Lol #Lorraine," with laughing emojis.

While she wasn't sporting Loreen's trademark pointed finger tip extensions Ranvir definitely bore a passing resemblance to the Tattoo singer.

The main similarity was in her loose shaggy haircut which Richard Madeley had earlier commented on.

As he asked Ranvir what was coming up on the programme he commented that he liked her hair.

Flattered she revealed that she was booked in to get it done tomorrow telling him it is always the way that everyone compliments your hair just before you get it cut.

Loreen has won the Eurovision Song Contest twice for Sweden. In 2012 she won the trophy with her song Euphoria.

Eleven years later in 2023 she won again with the track Tattoo. She is the second performer, after Johnny Logan, to have won the contest twice, and the first woman to do so.

As a result of her win this year's contest, which was one by Nemo singing The Code, was held in Malmo, Sweden.

Lorraine is on ITV weekdays at 9am.
