Sarah Ferguson's heartwarming five-word response to Princess Beatrice's pregnancy news
The Duchess of York shared a statement about her "happiness" at the news that her daughter is expecting another child.
Sarah Ferguson has released a statement today following the news that her daughter Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child early next Spring.
The Duchess of York, 64, who lives at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, said she is “very proud” of her 36-year-old daughter.
She wrote: “A very proud GiGi/Mum today. Such an incredible blessing and an embrace to my heart.
“Wolfie, August, Ernie and Sienna will be over the moon to have the fifth member of the five aside!”
The child will be the fourth grandchild of Prince Andrew and Sarah, who still live together despite being divorced.

In a longer statement shared to social media, Sarah went on to praise her daughter and said watching her become a mum has been one of her “greatest privileges”.
The statement in full read: “Darling Beatrice, words can’t quite express the joy and excitement I feel as you and Endo prepare to welcome another precious addition to your beautiful family. Becoming a granny again fills my heart with so much happiness and gratitude.
"Watching you grow as a mother has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and now to see your family blossom further is an absolute blessing.
“Our family is growing, and so too is the love that surrounds us. I cannot wait to meet this little one and to share in all the wonderful memories we will make together. All my love.”

The statement was shared along with a sweet photograph of Sarah and Beatrice playing with Beatrice’s daughter Sienna, three.
The social media post comes just hours after Buckingham Palace shared the news on official social media channels.
A spokesman for the Palace said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna.
“His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
