Duchess Sophie sparks fan frenzy with bold red dress as she continues to ramp up duties

Duchess Sophie sparked a royal fan frenzy with her  latest appearance in Somerset.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, who is patron of the Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust, last week attended a concert at Wells Cathedral given by the Drakensberg Boys Choir, Wells Cathedral Choir, Wells Cathedral School Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra.

Sophie was a vision in red as she sported a new Valentino dress for the occasion.

The virgin wool-silk crepe midi dress, which retails at £4,400, is from the new Autumn/Winter 2024 collection and features a shirt-inspired bodice paired with an A-line skirt.

The duchess paired the eye-catching ensemble with her beloved pink Rosalia 65 heels by Jimmy Choo (£675) and Sophie Hasburg's Cleo clutch in brown rose (£324).
