POLL: Should Prince Harry and King Charles have reunited during Duke's brief UK visit?
Prince Harry's latest visit to the UK looks set to end without him seeing his father King Charles once again, as the rift between the two continues.
Prince Harry made a rare public appearance in London yesterday as he attended an awards ceremony celebrating the achievements of young people and their families facing serious health conditions for his charity WellChild.
Since stepping down as a working member of the Royal Family and moving to the US, Harry’s visits to the UK have been fleeting, while any meetings or correspondence with King Charles have been rare.
The Duke of Sussex’s last appearance in the UK was in August for the memorial service of his uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes.
The prince’s relationship with his father has been turbulent in recent years, with King Charles understood to have been left disappointed following Harry’s decision to make a series of claims against the Royal Family since he and Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties in early 2020.
It is not believed that the pair will meet this time, with the King currently in Balmoral in Scotland.

Sources suggest Harry has been keen to meet with his father when he has been in the country, but those around him, including his wife Queen Camilla, have advised him not to as he continues his recovery from cancer.
The matter is further complicated by Harry’s ongoing legal dispute with the UK Government over the removal of security provisions for the Duke and his family.
Queen Camilla is also believed to be concerned as to how any potential meeting could affect Prince William who has his own sources of frustration with his brother’s choices in recent years.
A source said: "She has been the principal voice urging Charles to slow down and take things easy.

In January 2023, Harry released his tell-all memoir 'Spare', which saw him make several further claims against members of the Royal Family.
Those in the firing line included King Charles, as well as Prince William, Princess Kate and Queen Camilla.
