Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were criticised over their actions after they put their Sussex brand "in its death throes", according to a royal commentator.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have embarked on their own projects this year, with Harry making solo appearances involving his life's passions and promoting his charity work.

Meghan has been working on her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and a new cookery show that was meant to coincide with it.

Now a series of royal experts have commented on how their efforts to promote their global brand as a "power couple" have not worked out for them.

Columnist Angela Mollard told Sky News Australia: "They went over to America, they were going to be a power couple, who were going to be the next Michelle and Barack Obama or the next George and Amal Clooney and that hasn't worked out for them.

"So they're very much looking into separate professional lives. They're sort of managing instead of being [seen as] a team, now being seen as two individuals, pursuing very different careers."

Sky News contributor Louise Roberts added: "Brand Sussex as a going concern together clearly is in its death throes.

"I think they both need to play to their strengths. Another mistake they've made is pinning their great romance and love story, the big story of redemption and freedom from the 'evil' Royal Family to their professional footprint."

Prince Harry faced with 'three obstacles' on UK return as expert issues Meghan warning

Prince Harry is faced with three obstacles regarding his return to Britain and one of them is linked to Meghan Markle's security, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, left his home country and moved to the US in 2020, after he and his wife stepped down as senior working members of the Royal Family.

Now, a royal author claims that Harry wants to come back and "do more things" in the UK, but there are three things that are "standing in his way" - Prince William and Queen Camilla, as well as funding his lifestyle and security.

Prince William and Princess Kate’s secret names they used for each other while dating

As the future King of England, anonymity is not often feasible.

But when Prince William attended university, a fake pseudonym was created to help the Royal have a somewhat normal time during his studies.

William used a fake name during his time at St Andrews in Scotland which helped him avoid the attention of the media and to experience uni life as a somewhat normal person.

Prince Harry’s solo tour without Meghan is a 'calculated act' to win back public favour

COMMENT: "In the past week, it’s been refreshing to see Prince Harry step into the limelight alone, without Meghan Markle by his side.

"But make no mistake - this is a deliberate strategy.

The message is clear: Fall in love with Harry again, and in time, the public might just accept Meghan too."

Prince Harry's Netflix tensions as absence from polo documentary leaves bosses 'unhappy'

Prince Harry seems to have ruffled feathers at Netflix with his latest project for the streaming service, amid rumours of growing tensions.

Reports surfacing today suggest that the Duke of Sussex has somewhat disappointed his Netflix chiefs due to his limited presence in a new five-part documentary series exploring the elite realm of international polo.

The series, which was anticipated to feature Prince Harry prominently, is said to be centred on his polo-playing pal Nacho Figueras, with Harry himself barely making an appearance. This development follows an £80million deal inked with Netflix, where executives likely envisioned a treasure trove of personal content and revelations.
