A source has claimed that  Zara Tindall is trying to broker peace between her cousins Prince William and Prince Harry as part of attempts to end their feud.

Since the departure of Harry, 40, to the USA with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020 his relationship with his brother, 42, has weakened and a feud has reportedly developed.

A source told Woman’s Day that Zara, 43, has tried to act as a peacemaker between the famous duo so that relations between Harry and other senior members of the Royal Family can be improved.

“Zara figures there couldn’t be a better time for her to try and broker peace. Zara feels she’s the only one who can get through to both of them," the source claimed.

They added that despite Harry’s revelations in his memoir Spare and various interviews since departing the Royal Family William’s younger brother is “missed” by the Firm.

They explained: “No-one likes to admit it, but for all his mistakes, everyone misses Harry.”

The topic of reconciliation between Harry and the rest of the Royal Family has been a recurring theme in 2024 with rumours of the Duke of Sussex’s desire to return to the UK permanently swirling around.

There were hopes that dialogue between William and Harry could be on the horizon after the Prince and Princess of Wales sent him a public birthday greeting on his 40th birthday.

However, according to GB News, the pair are still not on speaking terms despite the open recognition of his milestone birthday.

With regards to Zara Tindall, Harry and William’s cousin has been building momentum this year within the Firm with one expert saying she and her husband Mike Tindall could become “PR gold dust”.

As a result of their growing popularity and Zara’s own success, there are growing calls for them to take on more royal duties.

Speaking about their success, former head of press for Downing Street Giles Kenningham said: “The Tindalls work very well on that level – they have had their own careers.

“They are independent financially and they conduct themselves well. You certainly don't see them staggering out of the back of bars.”

Unlike other members of the Royal Family, Zara has not grown up with a title, something the former GB Olympian has expressed gratefulness for.

Speaking to the Times in 2015, Zara explained: “I’m very lucky that both my parents decided not to use the title and we grew up and did all the things that gave us the opportunity to do.”

During her career Zara Tindall competed for Team GB during the 2012 Olympics, winning a silver medal for the eventing team.

Prince William and Zara Tindall's representatives have been approached for comment. A representative for Harry declined to comment.
