Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been delivered a new blow after their "dear friend" was hired by Prince William.

The Prince of Wales has taken on José Andrés, a food charity founder, to help lead his £50million global eco-project, the Earthshot Prize. The 55-year-old will join Cate Blanchett and Sir David Attenborough - among other A-listers - on the prize's council.

He has known the Sussexes for four and a half years, receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars of grants from Archewell for his charity World Central Kitchen.

The couple called Andrés a "longtime friend and partner" and he said his "dear friends" bring "hope to every community (they) touch" with "a smile and empathy".

He was listed as a "partner" on the Archewell impact report and also got a $300,000 grant in 2022. WCK and Archewell teamed up to provide 50,000 meals to people in need around the world between 2020 and 2022.

Meghan warned she has six months to fix her lifestyle brand

Meghan Markle may only have six months to fix Americ Riviera Orchard after a "nonfinal officer action" was issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The Duchess' trademark request for America Riviera Orchard was rejected by USPTO

A US source told the Express: "The process for acquiring a trademark is extremely rigorous. It would be a surprise if Meghan had not received one before in trying to get her application through.

"She is still very much committed to her brand and has three months to respond. There is no way this will lead to abandonment."

The major obstacle preventing Prince Harry from ever returning to royal duties revealed

A royal expert believes there is one major obstacle preventing Prince Harry from ever returning to royal duties.

In an article for the Express, Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams discussed what could happen if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle re-entered the royal fold.

This is due to “persistent rumours” that Harry wants to return to Britain more often, see his old friends and, most importantly, reconcile with his family.

His sudden and unexpected appearance at his uncle Lord Fellowes’s Memorial Service has fuelled this speculation. He and Prince William were at the back of the church during the service, it has been claimed, and attendees said they were not seen exchanging a single word.

Mr Fitzwilliams said that there is one key thing stopping the Sussexes from making Britain the Sussexes' home once again, saying that they had one main pull to stay away.

Ex-royal butler reveals how Royal Family will mark second anniversary of Queen’s death

An ex-royal butler has revealed how he thinks the Royal Family will be marking the second anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death next week.

Paul Burrell, the former butler to Princess Diana, said the Royal family “will all be” in Balmoral to mark the day “in private”.

Speaking on behalf of Slingo, he said: “The 8th of September will be that day we will all remember the Queen.

"I think it was so perfect that she did pass at Balmoral, the place where she loved raising her family with Prince Philip, and they had such happy times.

“I think they will probably have a dinner in memory of the Queen, and her son, King Charles III, will make a toast, because 70 years just can't go unmarked. I think the family will all be there to mark it in private.”

Mr Burrell added that “time stands still” for the royals at Balmoral and the late Queen will be “remembered around every corner”.

King Charles has 'managed to upset everyone - even Camilla - in royal rows', source claims

King Charles has managed to upset everyone including Queen Camilla according to a source, as the Royal Family’s tumultuous 2024 continues.

This year, the Firm has faced a series of challenges and crises, including the ongoing feud between Prince Harry and Prince William, Prince Andrew and the Royal Lodge, alongside King Charles and Princess Kate’s cancer diagnoses.

All of this has reportedly put a lot of strain on the person at the top of the royal tree, the King himself, who has continued public appearances throughout the year.

According to one insider, however, the King is worried about the state of his reign despite the decades he’s had to prepare for it. They claimed that the monarch was now seeking “spiritual counsel” to help him through an eventful year for the Royal Family.

Meghan Markle's mother Doria Ragland turns 68 today, with the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and their two children likely doing something special to mark her birthday.

The retired social worker and yoga teacher is most likely to be marking her birthday with the couple.

Doria, who lives in California like her daughter and son-in-law Prince Harry, shares an incredibly close bond with her 43-year-old daughter.

Meghan has previously referred to her mother as her "best friend", praising her for being a huge influence on her life and teaching her to appreciate food and yoga.

The Duchess of Sussex even paid a sweet tribute to Doria during her recent trip to Colombia.

She said: "For me, I find inspiration in so many of the strong women around me. My mother being one of them. Life is full of surprises and can be quite complex.'"

Prince Andrew dealt huge blow in Royal Family power ranking after King Charles row

Prince Andrew has been dealt a huge blow being voted as the least popular member of the Royal Family in a new poll as he remains embroiled in a row with King Charles over the tenancy of Royal Lodge.

The Duke of York has been voted the least popular royal, according to a recent YouGov survey of 2,025 UK adults, with 87 percent of Britons saying they have a negative opinion of him and only five percent viewing him positively.

He remains a non-working member of the Royal Family, and many of his honorary titles and military roles have not been restored.

Most recently he has faced increased pressure from King Charles to vacate Royal Lodge with the King reportedly eager to end his private funding for security on the estate and move his brother into smaller lodgings.

However, Andrew has been resisting efforts to relocate to a smaller property such as Frogmore Cottage and may even opt for a "mobile security" team as a compromise.

Meghan Markle was ghosted by UK reality show winner

Meghan Markle struck up an online friendship with an X Factor winner only to find herself ghosted when he got a new girlfriend. Matt Cardle beat out One Direction to win the TV talent contest in 2010 and sold a million copies of his debut single When We Collide.

Five years later in 2015, he followed Meghan, now 43, on social media after she caught his eye on TV drama Suits. It didn't go unnoticed by Meghan who began to message him online.

It was claimed at the time the now Duchess of Sussex was a fan of his music and had even suggested meeting up. Although he replied to her, he admitted he stopped all correspondence when he met his former girlfriend Amber Hernaman.

Recalling their brief flirtation later Matt said: "It was just a very weird situation — very odd. And I really don't know how it came about. Life's got a course and I was not on that one. I've laughed about it, but it's amazing thinking back."

Prince Harry sent stern warning over royal return after 'ruthlessly betraying' family

Prince Harry has been sent a stern warning over a possible return to the Royal Family fold after being accused of "ruthlessly betraying" his family.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes a return to the royal fold for the Duke of Sussex would pose "a lot of problems" for him and the Firm.

He told GB News: "We have got to be clear. When it comes to reconciliation, if it’s possible, that is to be welcomed.

"But when it comes to returning, what exactly does he mean? There’s no doubt he has been over twice and the optics have been strange.

"On the second time, they didn’t find time for him to speak to his father. If there’s going to be a return to royal duties, you really have got to be sure about what you’re dealing with.

"They ruthlessly betrayed the Royal Family for years. It’s fine when it comes to mending a rift, but actual senior working royals, you have got a lot of problems and I don’t see it.”

Sarah Ferguson exclaimed 'don't leave me' as heartfelt plea to Cat Deeley revealed

Cat Deeley’s showbiz career on both sides of the Atlantic has led to encounters from all sorts of famous names; from Paula Abdul to Rishi Sunak.

But it turns out that her private life is pretty star-studded as well. Not only is she married to comedian and presenter Patrick Kiely, she has a circle of friends that takes in radio DJ Edith Bowman and even, it seems, the Duchess of York.

Recalling a wild evening at a top west London restaurant, she told The Sunday Times: “It was so fun. I had to put Sarah Ferguson in the car.

"She was, like, ‘Don’t leave me!’ ” While Cat was living in Los Angeles, she and husband Patrick socialised with the likes of supermodel Cindy Crawford as well as Victoria's Secret “Angel” Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and her partner Jason Statham.

Cat and Patrick decided to make the UK their main home base again partly out of a dislike of Donald Trump and partly because, as parents, they were worried about the ever-rising tide of gun violence.

Royal Family ‘calls Prince Harry’s bluff’ as Duke’s blistering claims ‘ignored’

The Royal Family has "called" Prince Harry's bluff as the Firm continues to "ignore" the Duke of Sussex's blistering allegations, an expert has claimed.

Ever since the release of his shock memoir Spare in early 2023, the royals have kept quiet on the allegations levelled at their members both in the Duke's autobiography and in the interviews he did to promote it.

Prince Harry demanded an apology from the Royal Family, especially over the apparent treatment of Meghan Markle during her time as a senior working royal, in order to begin bridging the gap separating his family from the Firm.

However, reports that Prince Harry wants to reconcile with his father King Charles have emerged in recent weeks, despite the Firm not issuing a public apology.

According to the Daily Mail's royal editor Rebecca English, this likely boils down to the fact family members have "called his bluff" by opting to remain silent.

Princess Kate has 'conflicting emotions' as Wales family face major change this week

Princess Kate is experiencing "conflicting emotions" ahead of a major change this week, it has been claimed.

Like many children across the country, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six are set to return to school this week. According to Lambrook School's website, the new school term begins on Wednesday, September 4.

After enjoying some quality time with her children in both Norfolk and Scotland this summer, Princess Kate is said to be feeling "conflicting emotions" around the new term amid her ongoing cancer treatment.

Speaking to OK!, royal expert Jennie Bond said that although she's enjoyed spending quality time with her brood, she'll likely be glad of the rest and return to routine when they go back to school.
