Olivia Henson paid a touching tribute to both her and her husband-to-be's families with her choice of wedding accessories.

The new Duchess of Westminster looked stunning in an Emma Victoria Payne wedding dress and veil, which was custom-embroidered to include references to the one worn by the bride's great-grandmother in 1880.

Olivia also became the latest woman in the Grosvenor family to sport the Fabergé Myrtle Wreath Tiara, which is traditionally only used for family weddings.

The piece was last used in 2008 for the nuptials of Lady Rosanagh Innes-Ker for her marriage to Viscount Grimston at Floors Castle.

The stunning piece was created in the Fabergé workshop in 1906 by designer Albert Holmström, the son of the fine jewellery makers's former chief jeweller, and is estimated to be worth nearly £60,000.

Mr Holmström later went on to design several of the company's famous Imperial Easter Eggs.

The Myrle Wreath Tiara is made up of two sprays of myrtle leaves and berries set in brilliant diamonds.

The stalks of the leaves are engraved in red fold while the leaves are set in rubbed-over silver.

The priceless piece was purchased in 1906 for the wedding of Lord Hugh Grosvenor to Lady Mabel Crichton, whose descendants make up the current Grosvenor family.

Diamond specialist Zack Stone from Steven Stone said: "As the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson approached, there was widespread speculation about which tiara the bride would choose.

"Many assumed she would wear the Bagration Tiara, famously worn by Hugh’s mother on her own wedding day.

"However, when Olivia arrived at Chester Cathedral, she dazzled in the Grosvenor family’s Fabergé Myrtle Leaf Tiara. This exquisite piece was originally crafted in 1906 for the wedding of Lord Hugh Grosvenor."

Mr Stone added: "Adorned with round brilliant diamonds, the intricate tiara features two sprays of myrtle leaves and berries, with stalks of engraved red gold and leaves set in rub-over silver, showcasing a perfect blend of elegance and heritage.

"Not only is the tiara a sentimental choice as it was also worn by Hugh’s sister when she married Edward van Cutsem in 2004, but it’s also an incredibly romantic one as the myrtle leaf is a symbol of love and closely associated with Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of love."

Hugh and Olivia were introduced by mutual friends in 2021 and dated for over two years before he proposed in April 2023.

The newlyweds will be celebrating with their 400 guests right after the ceremony and then will hold a smaller gathering for close friends and family on Saturday.

Among the guests were longtime friend of the groom, Prince William, as well as his cousin Princess Beatrice.
