Strictly’s Zara McDermott giving relationship with Sam Thompson ‘one last shot’
Zara and Sam are reportedly 'determined' to make their relationship work following the former Strictly star's turmoil over ex-dance partner Graziano Di Prima.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott and her boyfriend Sam Thompson are reportedly giving their relationship "one more go". The documentary maker, 27, and her boyfriend Sam, 31, have been together for four years but recently sparked rumours they had split following a blazing row.
According to a source, the couple have recently been at "breaking point" over the "overwhelming" events of the past month.
"Things have been very up and down for Zara and Sam over the past few months and there have been points that they’ve thought about ending it," they told OK!.
They have reportedly been embroiled in 'crisis talks' following a 'blazing row' and were pictured on the street by their Chelsea home looking tense.
Zara's Strictly pro partner Graziano Di Prima admitted to kicking her in rehearsals last year in an apology statement, after he was sacked from the BBC show over her claims.
While the shocking details over her Strictly experience emerged, Zara was seemingly battling to save her long-term relationship with Sam behind closed doors at the same time. But the couple are thought to be sticking by eachother.
An insider claimed that Zara had been ‘terrified’ over how the public would react to the allegations made against Strictly star Graziano, 30, who has since been dropped from the programme’s pro line-up.

"Zara had been worrying about the Graziano allegations coming out for a while and was terrified at what the public reaction would be but knew she couldn’t keep quiet", reports OK!.
"She felt she was at breaking point and if she didn’t release that statement, then things would be a lot worse. She’s had so much support but it’s only now that she’s realising the impact that it all had on her.
"Ultimately that put extra stress and pressure on her and Sam as they were both dealing with a lot. She feels her Strictly experience has been tarnished. There have been a lot of tears.
"But they both have a lot of love for each other and are determined to try to give it one more go."
Meanwhile, on Saturday (July 13), Graziano shared a statement to his official Instagram page confirming he will not be returning to Strictly.
He wrote: "I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly. My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime.
"Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it's best for the show that I step away."
