Liam Gallagher has bluntly told one fan to "shut up" in response to their complaints over the sky-high ticket prices for the highly-anticipated Oasis reunion tour.

Die-hard Oasis fans were thrown into a buying frenzy as the band announced they would hit the road again in 2025.

Amidst a scramble of hundreds of thousands trying to secure tickets, some fans witnessed the cost skyrocket, with one spot reportedly being sold for a hefty sum.

Controversy emerged as Ticketmaster faced referral to the CMA after fans experienced technical trouble during the sale and others were priced out after an agonising wait in a digital line-up.

This controversy was further stoked over the weekend when reports claimed certain supporters had to part with £355 for a seat initially tagged at £148.

This instance of dynamic pricing, where ticket values rise with a demand strategy deployed by Ticketmaster since 2022, caused uproar among buyers.

In the midst of the turmoil, Liam Gallagher declared on Twitter: "OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something's never change LF***ING." (sic)

One dismayed fan took to Twitter to express disappointment at the situation: "Didn't expect them to rip the fans off as much as they have done. It's genuinely a shame," only for Liam to retort fiercely with "SHUT UP," reports the Mirror.

His no-nonsense approach continued as he fielded requests from another fan hunting for spare tickets. In a mischievous response, Liam Gallagher revealed: "S**t loads but they're really expensive 100 thousand pounds Kneeling only."

Showing his characteristic bravado regarding the much-anticipated reunion with his brother Noel, he tweeted: "SMUG only kidding SMUG AS F**K I told you all we were gonna get back together 1 fine day." (sic)

Ticketmaster maintains it does not set concert prices and its website states this is down to the "event organiser" who "has priced these tickets according to their market value".

A spokesman for the ticket sales company said: "We are committed to co-operating with the CMA and look forward to sharing more facts about the ticket sale with them."

Oasis said in a statement: "It needs to be made clear that Oasis leaves decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used.

"While prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band's management resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy, which would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting, the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations.

"All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve."

Following the chaos over the weekend, Oasis announced new Wembley Stadium dates on September 27 and 28 2025 using a lottery system.

The final UK Live '25 tour tickets released will use a new "staggered invitation-only ballot process" with applications to join the ballot opened first to those who were unsuccessful in the initial sale.

The Advertising Standards Authority reported receiving 450 complaints alleging "misleading claims about availability and pricing" from the Oasis ticket release.
