Amanda Holden has revealed how she would spend £50,000 but admitted it would lead to major marriage problems.

Jason King, aka JK, who is currently standing in for regular host Jamie Theakston, asked Heart listeners what they would do with a tax-free £50k prize as they advertised their "big-money game" Heart Show Me The Money.

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda revealed she would make an incredibly charitable donation with the winnings, telling JK that there were currently 500 cats on a waiting list for Battersea Dogs and Cats home.

Amanda said: "Yesterday I was at Battersea Dogs and Cats home, I'm an ambassador for them and I have been for years and years.

"Very sadly, my friend Jamie, who works down there, told me that they've got 500 cats on a waiting list at the moment to come in because there's been so many abandonements.

"So I feel like I'd make a huge donation to anyone who's looking after animals who are struggling or suffering at the moment. I don't mean to sound like I'm an angel but it just really struck me."

Earlier this year, Amanda announced that she's welcomed a new pet rabbit to her family. Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-two shared the exciting news with an adorable video of the furry animal.

According to the charity, the presenter is also the proud owner of rescue dog Rudie and Muffy the cat. However, co-host JK believed Amanda's generosity towards the charity wouldn't just stop at a donation.

He said that, after donating £50,000, the TV star would then adopt all 500 cats. Amanda jokingly agreed with her fellow presenter but admitted it would cause an issue in her marriage.

She said: "I think it's the cost of living, it's just people taking on more than they can manage. I would probably have them all, in my back garden and then my husband would leave me."

She has been married to her husband, Chris Hughes, 51, for more than a decade, tying the knot back in 2008, with the couple sharing two daughters, Lexi and Hollie.

Chris, who works as a record producer, met Amanda in 2003 in the States, with the pair now living in a lavish £5million home in Surrey, according to Hello, although this is now up for sale.

Last month, the couple were pictured enjoying a holiday together, but Chris' youthful looks set the comments ablaze, with David Walliams, her ex-co-star on BGT and friend, jokingly saying: "Mother and son. Lovely."
