Emmerdale's Chas Dingle, played by Lucy Pargeter, has suffered an injury on set, sparking worry among her fans after she posted a photo of her bruised leg online.

The 47-year-old actress humorously revealed that she was "taken out by a woolpack bench," calling it a "blooper" and admitted to cursing profusely due to the pain.

She quipped: "Don't worry, it will all be seen on some bloopers show... although I'm not sure they have enough 'bleeps' to cover my potty mouth."

Lucy's followers expressed their concern in the comments, with one saying: "Hope you're ok hon. I think your potty mouth would add to the depth of your stunt."

Another commented: "Ouch. Hope not too painful," while a third added: "Could have been a lot worse Lucy thank God it wasn't.", reports the Mirror.

Having joined Emmerdale in 2002, Lucy Pargeter's character has been central to many significant plots, including a cancer storyline.

Earlier this year, Lucy discussed the importance of not avoiding such a serious topic, stating: "She saw her own mother ultimately die after an incurable breast cancer diagnosis, so for Chas to receive a breast cancer diagnosis herself, makes it all the more poignant," highlighting the impact of cancer on anyone at any time.

"Our audience knows her so well, they have seen her relationships, know her faults, her passions, her insecurities, quirks, and fears."

Lucy, who secured third place in the 2013 edition of I'm a Celebrity, has faced her fair share of personal struggles away from the cameras. She became a mother to Lola in 2005 with then-fiance Rudi Coleano, but despite their efforts to expand their family naturally for over a decade, success eluded them until they turned to IVF.

Their perseverance paid off when they welcomed twins Missy and Betsy in 2017.

Lucy has been open about her fertility challenges, emphasizing the value of sharing her experience. "Having IVF was hard but we feel so lucky the girls have come along. I think it's important to be honest about everything to do with how they got here," she shared with OK! Magazine.
