Janette Manrara was visibly emotional as she showed her support for her Strictly Come Dancing colleague while making her way back to Cheshire.

The TV host and dancer had been working in London on Wednesday (August 28) before returning to the north, where she relocated last year with her husband, fellow Strictly star Aljaz Skorjanec, in anticipation of their daughter Lyra Rose's arrival in July 2023.

Before departing London, Janette enjoyed a sweet reunion with Aljaz, who has been busy rehearsing for the 2024 series of the hit BBC One show after announcing his return to the dance floor following a two-year break.

In a video shared with her fans, Janette captured a moment with Aljaz as they strolled through the train station, hand-in-hand. Overjoyed by his surprise visit, she exclaimed: "Look who surprised me today. He brought me back to the station. Aww, on a bike and everything! " She chuckled, adding: "The romance is still alive!"

Upon reaching her local station, Janette updated her followers while waiting for her taxi, sharing that she spent the train ride watching Amy Dowden's new documentary, 'Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me', which premiered on Monday (August 27), reports the Manchester Evening News.

Amy, a professional dancer, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of the previous year after discovering a lump in April 2023, just one day before jetting off to the Maldives for her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones, also a professional dancer.

Following a shocking stage three breast cancer diagnosis and a subsequent mastectomy, Amy made the bold decision to let cameras capture her challenging journey through chemotherapy, despite facing severe setbacks including sepsis and near organ failure.

Merely six days after confronting the harrowing reality of her cancer, Amy committed to an unfettered documentation of her life's most tumultuous year with the camera as her shadow, charting her struggle for health, familial future, and her undying passion for dance.

Janette Manrara was visibly moved as she reflected on Amy's documentary in an Instagram Story video, fighting back tears as she remarked: "I just watched Amy Cancer and Me and my God, the bravery... I get welled up talking about it. She's just such an incredible woman. I guess a beautiful showcase of what mind of matter can do even in the toughest of situations."

"She's just... I mean, I've always known she's amazing but you know, when you see first-hand in the documentary what she went through, I know that she'll help so, so many people which I know is what she wants more than anything. If you have a chance to watch it, it's amazing. Well done, Amy. You're amazing! ".

She then followed up the post with a stunning photo of Amy, captioning it: "Incredibly inspiring and showing just how empowering vulnerability can be. Love you @amy_dowden," before including a link for her fans and followers to watch the documentary.
