Jeff Goldblum appears to forget Eddie Izzard's name

Jeff Goldblum seemingly forgot who Eddie Izzard was while listing his Kaos co-stars during a live interview today. The leading actor is currently in the UK on a press tour to promote the new Netflix series, which is described as a modern day contemporary retelling of Greek mythology.

While a guest on Thursday's The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, which is currently being hosted by Scott Mills, Jeff, 71, shared details about what's to come in the series and urged listeners to tune in.

"I think you should see it," he said, excitedly. "And, anybody within the sound of my voice, I tell you, this Thursday, they all come out at once, you can see them all at the same time, so there you go. I think you're going to get a big kick out of it," he continued.

Jeff then went on to list some of his co-stars, adding: "David Thewlis is in it and Stephen Dillane, great actors, yeah." Scott went on to mention that Billie Piper was also in the series as well as Eddie Izzard.

In response to the latter, Jeff awkwardly replied: "Who?", which prompted Scott to repeat the name.

It's not clear whether the actor forgot who Eddie was or if he simply couldn't hear what the presenter said, but he went on to acknowledge who Scott meant seconds later.

After Zoe's stand-in host repeated the name again, the actor said: "Eddie Suzy Izzard, yes, is in it. Fantastic.

"Billie Piper is in it. Debi Mazar, oh yeah, a whole bunch of people who are just fantastic."

Elsewhere today, the Jurassic Park star got carried away during his interview on This Morning while promoting the show.

After learning that host Sian Welby had given birth to a baby girl named Ruby, he asked: "Do you know that Thelonious Monk song, Ruby My Dear? Look that up, I like it a lot. I love Thelonious Monk. There are other Ruby songs, do you know Kenny Rogers?"

Jeff then proceeded to sing 'Ruby don't take your love to town,' which prompted Sian to laugh.

Craig Doyle then suggested the song Ruby Tuesday, which led to him and Jeff singing in unison.

Fans couldn't get enough of the hilarious moment and praised the actor for his antics on social media.
