Man Utd: Laurens ‘convinced’ Pochettino will be manager
Manchester United could move for Philippe Coutinho if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is replaced by Mauricio Pochettino, according to reports. And that would surely rile Liverpool, who wouldn’t want him to move to Old Trafford - and have been linked with the Brazil international as well.
Manchester United are currently flying under Solskjaer, with the club unbeaten in their last 11 matches across all competitions.
During that time they’ve kept nine clean sheets and been ruthless in front of goal, scoring five against the likes of LASK and Club Brugge while also beating Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.
Solskjaer’s job at United remains safe for now.
But Sport appear to suggest Pochettino could yet replace the Norwegian and, if he does, they could move to sign Coutinho.
The Brazil international is spending the season on loan at Bayern Munich, where he’s happy having struggled at Barcelona beforehand.
But Bayern may not sign Coutinho permanently with the Samba star failing to live up to expectations at the Allianz Arena.

Pochettino wanted to bring the 27-year-old to Tottenham last summer, only to end up being dazumped.
And the Catalan report suggests he could go back in for the playmaker should he rock up at Old Trafford as Solskjaer’s replacement.
Should that happen, it would surely upset Liverpool.
Firstly, due to the animosity between both the Merseysiders and United, it wouldn’t go down well to see Coutinho strutting his stuff for the Red Devils.
And, secondly, because the Bayern loanee is also on Jurgen Klopp’s radar.
