Man Utd: Harry Kane will not move to club says expert
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward plans to try and sign Harry Kane - but only if he gets put on the market. The Tottenham star has been tipped to leave north London amid the club’s struggles under Jose Mourinho, who has failed to improve Spurs since the departure of Mauricio Pochettino back in October.
Manchester United haven’t signed a player from Tottenham since Dimitar Berbatov in 2008, with that deal angering Spurs chief Daniel Levy.
In the years since they’ve failed with bids for the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld with the north London giants adopting a stubborn approach.
But United have been linked with a move for Kane in recent months amid the 26-year-old’s growing concerns.
Tottenham haven’t improved since Mourinho replaced Pochettino and the England international is worried that the club aren’t making progress under the former Red Devils boss.
And 90min claim that United are interested in Kane and that they plan to make a move for the striker should he go on the market.
However, despite that, United may struggle when it comes to bringing the frontman to Old Trafford.
