Man City boss Pep Guardiola makes bizarre Ederson claim after Blues miss another penalty
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola thinks he might have to decide who takes the penalties after seeing Gabriel Jesus miss another attempt from the spot against Sheffield United - and says Ederson may be the best spot-kick taker at the club.

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus had the chance to give the Citizens the lead in the first-half but saw his penalty saved by Sheffield United keeper Dean Henderson. However, his blushes were spared when team-mate Sergio Aguero scored the only goal of the game late in the second half.
Jesus’ miss now means he has failed to score with three of his last five penalties in the Premier League.
However, he is not alone at the club as Pep Guardiola has seen several of his stars struggle to find the back of the net from 12 yards out this season.
And after the game he hinted he could look to make the call himself in the future and hinted goalkeeper Ederson is possibly in the running to show his team-mates how it is done.

The win over the Blades at Bramall Lane means City now have a six-point lead over third-placed Leicester City but are still 13 points off league leaders Liverpool - although the Foxes have a game in hand and the Reds have two on their title challengers.
While Jesus struggled for large parts of the game it only took Aguero six minutes to score after he came off the bench.
The 31-year-old Argentine has now scored 21 goals in just 23 appearances in all competitions this season, with eight of those coming in his last five games.
However, after the match Guardiola not only praised his squad for having taken a step closer to securing Champions League football next season, but also expressed his admiration for how Sheffield United played the game.

"In the first half, the keeper was excellent with the penalty and two incredible saves, it was an incredibly good victory for us to take a step towards securing Champions League football next season,” Guardiola said.
"In the first half we were a little bit shy to play, but in the second half we were a little bit more like we are. But we controlled it really well, the chance to score goals.
"What Sheffield United do, they do it perfectly. They've been together for five years so their spirit is so good. They are so good at the second balls and arrive with a lot of people in the final third."
