Wolves ‘could make top four’ after Man City win says pundit
Manchester City had an opportunity to close the gap on Liverpool when they travelled to Molineux on Friday but despite taking a two-goal lead with 10-men they couldn’t stop Wolves mounting a comeback to win the game 3-2.
And shortly after the final whistle Gary Lineker took to Twitter to send his good wishes to Liverpool for winning their first ever Premier League title.
“Congratulations to @LFC on winning their first ever Premier League title,” Lineker tweeted.
And when one Liverpool fan quickly remarked that the former Leicester City and England striker should try and say it “without crying”, Lineker reiterated his praise.

City not only had an opportunity to close the gap on Liverpool but could have also move into second place, however, the defeated to Wolves means they stay rooted in third place.
Although Lineker isn’t the only one who thinks Liverpool are now set to lift their first Premier League trophy of the club’s history this season.
As after the game City boss Pep Guardiola conceded their title challenge is over after losing to Wolves.
"The advantage is too big, yes,” Guardiola said when asked if the title race is over.
"It's unrealistic to think about Liverpool, we think about Leicester," said Guardiola.

"I know the quality of my team but that's the situation."
City’s task of beating Wolves was made more difficult when their goalkeeper Ederson given his marching orders after just 12 minutes, after the Brazilian fouled Diogo Jota.
However, City appeared to make light work of being a man down as a brace from Raheem Sterling had given the visitors the lead.
But second half goals from Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez set up a climatic finish at Molineux and a last minute goal from Matt Doherty sent the home crowd into raptures.

And while Guardiola might think the title is now likely out of reach, he admitted he still won’t be prioritising other competitions over their Premier League campaign.
"We cannot prioritise or next season we'll not be in Europe," said Guardiola.
"We come back in less than 40 hours to play another game [against Sheffield United]. We'll see how [the players] feel.
