Luka Jovic claims joining Real Madrid is a ‘dream come true’
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is considering making a January swoop on his former club Real Madrid in order to deal with his problems of finding a replacement for the injured Harry Kane. According to reports in Spain the Spurs manager wants Luka Jovic to swap La Liga for the Premier League.
Spurs are not expecting Kane to return until April, as he is currently recovering from surgery on a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring.
Without the England international to lead the line, Mourinho has tried using Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min, although neither appear to be a suitable long-term solution for the Portuguese coach.
However, according to Spanish publication Defensa Central, sources at Los Blancos have confirmed Mourinho is hoping to use his good relationship with Real president Florentino Perez in order to get a deal over the line for Jovic.
Real only signed Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer for an initial fee of €65m before add-ons.

The 22-year-old had scored 27 goals in 48 games for the German club before his move, but has struggled to replicate his form in La Liga.
So far this season he has only found the back of the net once in 18 appearances for boss Zinedine Zidane.
The Serbia international has only started four games in La Liga and Tottenham will be hoping the youngster could rediscover his form if given a fresh start away from the Bernabeu.

Another reason why Tottenham could be turning their attention to Jovic is that reports suggest talks over a move for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek have stalled.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs refused to meet Milan’s £30m valuation and as a result the talks over a deal are deadlocked.
Spurs only have until 11pm on January 31 to conclude their business with the north London club in desperate need of another centre-forward.
Tottenham were held to a 0-0 draw with Watford and ahead of the game Mourinho insisted the club are only looking to improve their squad rather than just being in a replacement.
“Do we need a striker? Yes,” Mourinho said.
