GMB intervene as Piers Morgan clashes with Yvette Cooper MP ‘Don’t speak for the Queen!'
PIERS MORGAN was embroiled in another spat during today’s Good Morning Britain, locking horns with Yvette Cooper.
Yvette Cooper clashes with Piers Morgan over Trump state visit
The Labour MP was initially booked to appear on Good Morning Britain to address policing immigration in the UK, but attention soon fell on the collapse of construction giant Carillion and Donald Trump’s canned state visit.
Cooper backed the decision to cancel President Trump’s scheduled trip to Britain, which didn’t sit well with his friend Piers Morgan.
Morgan reminded Cooper that the UK has welcomed the likes of Vladimir Putin and Robert Mugabe, so slammed the government for not treating Trump with the same respect.
Cooper claimed that the visit would put Queen Elizabeth II in an awkward position, which sparked an eruption from the GMB host.

Come off it, the Queen doesn’t care
“Come off it, the Queen doesn’t care,” he groaned. “The Queen’s had Putin for goodness sake. She’s had Mugabe, do you think she cares about Donald Trump?”
“Do you think the Queen can’t handle Donald Trump?” he protested.
“I don’t think you should speak for the Queen, Piers,” Cooper snarled.

Morgan retorted: “I’ve met the Queen on numerous occasions and I can tell you that she can handle Donald Trump.”
Good Morning Britain then intervened to play a comical clip of Question Time host David Dimbleby urging Morgan to “be quiet while she speaks please”, lifted from his appearance on the BBC programme last week.
“Dimbleby is haunting me!” he gasped.
Also on today’s instalment of GMB, Trump’s ex-wife Ivanka Trump gave a rare interview where she defended the commander-in-chief

Morgan called for Trump to visit the UK
After Trump came under fire for allegedly describing a string of nations as “s**tholes”, his ex insisted that he wasn’t racist “at all”.
“Sometimes he says these things which are silly, or he doesn't really mean them,” she said. “But he's definitely not racist, I'm sure of that.”
Morgan also revealed the government refused to speak to GMB over the liquidation of Carillion.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
