Jamie Bamber, best known for his roles in Battlestar Galactica and Law and Order: UK, is set to appear in Channel 5's new series The Wives. He will be sharing the screen with Jo Joyner, Tamzin Outhwaite and Angela Griffin in this intriguing mystery drama, which premieres on Monday, 16 September.
Fans will undoubtedly be excited to see Jamie, 51, back on the small screen. His last role was in Who Is Erin Carter? in 2023, following his part in the popular BBC series Beyond Paradise.
Jamie has an impressive acting resume, boasting numerous film and TV credits including NCIS and Strike Back.
Off-screen, Jamie is happily married to actress Kerry Norton. The couple exchanged vows in 2003 and are proud parents to three daughters, Isla and twins Darcy and Ava, reports the Mirror.
Kerry, 51, also had a role in Battlestar Galactica as Ishay. Her other acting credits include Bad Girls and EastEnders, and she's also a talented singer, having released an album in 2005.
She has appeared in films such as The Devil's Tattoo, Monday Nights at Seven and Dirty God. Kerry's most recent acting gig was in the 2022 series Angelyne, where she portrayed Edie Wallach.
Before her acting career took off, she was a gymnast, and one of her first acting roles was in an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Although Kerry and Jamie prefer to keep a low profile, they have made occasional appearances together on the red carpet. They frequently express their support for each other's work on social media, with Kerry previously sharing posts about Jamie's acting roles on Instagram.
Jamie is set to star as Charlie Morgan in the upcoming series The Wives, alongside actors Katie Clarkson-Hill, Ben Willbond, Louis Boyer, and Catriona Chandler.
Tazmin, Angela, and Jo, all familiar faces on TV, will take on the roles of Sylvie, Natasha, and Beth, respectively. The story, set in Mala, follows the lives of the trio as they are forever changed by the revelation of numerous family secrets.
The synopsis states: "Sylvie Morgan was happily married, Natasha Morgan was swimming in wealth, and Beth Morgan and Annabelle Morgan were thick as thieves. But this year, as they come together again, everything is different. Sylvie's now single and loving life, Natasha's hiding a desperate financial situation, Beth is barely keeping her life together and Annabelle is, well... dead."
