EMMERDALE is set to air a special episode featuring Aaron Dingle as he does time in prison for attacking Kasim Sabet.

Next week will see Aaron sent down for 12 months for his crime, as his fiancé Robert Sugden (played by Ryan Hawley) plans a surprise wedding the day before his sentencing.
Luckily for Robron fans, Aaron will still appear on the show but behind bars.
Now, Emmerdale series producer Iain MacLeod has announced that bosses are planning a ‘day in the life of Aaron’ as he serves his sentence.
“There’s a lot of news issues around prison life and the challenges people face,” Iain explained to the Daily Mirror.

It’s also a day in the life of his family
“We thought it would be a good opportunity to explore some of that using a really well-liked group of characters.”
He continued: “We’ve got a special episode which will be a day in the life of Aaron Dingle the convict.
“But it’s also a day in the life of his family and what it’s like for them.”

An exact date has not been given as to when the episode will air but Iain has promised viewers they will see it “in the not too distant future”.
It's not the first time Emmerdale has aired a special episode focusing on one character.
In December, the soap received praise from fans and charities after it dedicated an entire programme to showing the world from dementia sufferer Ashley Thomas’ eyes.
Emmerdale continues tomorrow night at 7pm on ITV.
