DAME JOAN COLLINS has warned Laura Whitmore to beware of her Strictly Come Dancing rival, Ed Balls.

Ed shocked the audience last week with his impressive Halloween-themed Cha Cha, scoring a high of 26 points.
Laura, 31, has also been performing well, topping the leaderboard with 36 points last week with the Tango with partner Giovanni Pernice.
However, Strictly fan Dame Joan warned the Irish presenter not to get too complacent when the two crossed paths at the Pride of Britain Awards.

The 83-year-old said: "I think you dance beautifully. Good luck!"
"You've got to beat that Ed Balls!" she added in a clip from the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards, which was shown on tonight's episode of Strictly Come Dancing.
Laura danced well this week performing a Samba to ‘Bamboleo’ by Gipsy Kings but failed to match last week's Tango result, scoring 32 points.
Former politician Ed scored yet another personal best this week; 27 points for his quickstep with partner Katya Jones.

After brief criticism about his thumb placement, Craig Revel Horwood said: "I can't believe I'm actually saying this - you are improving!"
The 49-year-old then went on to be awarded a landmark six points from the notoriously hard-to-please judge.
