ITV’s flagship breakfast show Good Morning Britain was slammed for its “leftie agenda” as hosts Kate Garraway and Paul Brand rowed with Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch live on-air. The anchors were slammed for their “constant interruptions” as the Tory leader attempted to speak, and later clashed with Badenoch about her use of disappearing WhatsApp messages on her personal phone.

Viewers rushed to social media to air their complaints, with one writing: “Paul Brand getting his little dig in at Kemi Badenoch on GMB. Getting sick of these woke lefties using our TV to put forward their own agenda.” Someone else said: “Do YOU use disappearing messages Paul Brand? You’re obsessed with them!”

Garraway even quizzed Badenoch on her thoughts on Scott Mills’ sacking from the BBC – though the MP admitted she had “no idea” who the Radio 2 star was.

One viewer said: “Hahhaaa Kemi Badenoch bang on the money. Why is there wall to wall coverage of Scott Mills? Like there’s nothing else going on in the world.”

Someone else said: “I can’t believe she asked Kemi about Scott Mills. What an airhead.”

“For God’s sake gobby Garraway shut up and let her talk!” another added.

However, others sided with the hosts, with one tweeting: “#GMB Kemi Badenoch has a massive chip on her shoulder about Keir Starmer, she is embarrassing to watch. No plan, no idea, no chance of ever being PM. She should resign.”
