Emmerdale Celia's secret ex 'exposed' and they're causing trouble in Dales

Fans of Emmerdale believe they've rumbled Celia Daniels' secret ex, and they're currently causing trouble in the Dales. ITV soap viewers will know that Celia (played by Jaye Griffiths) and her evil son, Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), terrorised several villagers last year.

April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) was notably lured into the pair's trap as she tried to pay off her boyfriend Dylan Penders' (Fred Kettle) never-ending debt. That's not all, as Ray and Celia had also been keeping Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) captive on their farm, alongside several other slaves.

Celia's reign of terror ended on New Year's Day when she was stabbed by Ray, following a heated confrontation. Ray soon met a similar fate himself when Bear killed him in front of Dylan and his son, Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt). Paddy recently received a suspended sentence for covering up the crime, while Bear and Dylan were acquitted.

Now, several Emmerdale fans believe that Celia has a secret ex in the village, and their theory may surprise you.

A number of viewers are convinced that Celia was romantically involved with Dr. Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker), who has been bullying her mentee, Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant), in recent months. The harrowing storyline came to a head last month when Jacob lodged a complaint with HR regarding Todd's behaviour.

Last week, Todd admitted to having "fun" while bullying the youngster. During a heated confrontation at Tug Ghyll, Todd said to Jacob: "You're never gonna be a doctor. You're not smart enough, you're not strong enough, you're not determined enough... What you are is pathetic and weak. And by the way, you're not the first, and I doubt you'll be the last."

Todd soon caught Jacob recording her, and quickly deleted the evidence. She has since announced her early retirement, but made it clear to Jacob that she wouldn't stop tormenting him in the village. Could she be secretly connected to the late villain Celia?

"She may be linked to Celia? Maybe her ex. Not sure [what] the link to Jacob would be though," one convinced viewer wrote on a Facebook fan page.

Another added: "Ooh, that would be something!" while a third said: "Omg two villains connected, what a twist!" A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "There's defo something Todd is hiding."

Meanwhile, other viewers remain convinced that Todd is somehow connected to child predator Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein), who notably groomed 16-year-old Jacob while she was dating his dad, David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).

During Tuesday's (May 12) episode, Todd went on a date with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) at the Woolpack, where the doctor revealed she had received a letter confirming she had inherited her late father's property in Matlock. This revelation made Vanessa worry that the distance could threaten any budding romance, while her ex, Charity, tried to convince her not to continue exploring a relationship with the evil doctor.

Todd soon began targeting Charity on Wednesday (May 13), with the doctor warning that she has definitive proof about the real parentage of Jacob's daughter, Leyla. Todd soon upped the ante by demanding £10,000 from Charity. Will Charity give her the money?
