'I went on a date with Coleen Nolan on Celebs Go Dating and this is what really happened'
The man opened up about his Celebs Go Dating experience with Loose Women's Coleen Nolan
A man who secured a date with Coleen Nolan has revealed the one thing that surprised him.
Neil Poynter is currently on Celebs Go Dating. The 61-year-old has gained recognition for his TikTok mini-series, 'SingleAtSixty', in which he documents his life as a single man in his 60s.
The TikTok personality earned his place on the E4 dating programme after a casting director stumbled upon his social media content. He has now successfully arranged a date with Loose Women star Coleen, though he insisted that his appearance was substantially edited and abbreviated.
In a TikTok video, Neil explained, "Really interesting watching last night and the fact that they must have had a total of an hour and a half video of me from the pre-interview, post-interview, and the date itself, and what do we get about 3 minutes total on screen, which is ok - It's television. Maybe I wasn't entertaining enough."
Providing additional context, he continued: "The one thing I will say is my reaction when Coleen asked me if I've ever killed anyone. Those little bits, there are very obvious edits of my looking away, looking down, but that is not how it panned out."

Neil added, "What actually happened is I almost immediately laughed and went straight into the story of when I went, 'That is an interesting story,' and about me not having any medals. So that was quite heavily edited, but it was interesting to watch."
Express has approached Channel 4 for comment.
Following their date, Neil was eager to get to know Coleen better and requested a second meeting, but Coleen wasn't experiencing the same feelings.
The Loose Women star described Neil as "a really nice man", but admitted she didn't feel "any connection" or "attraction" to him.
Referencing the episode, Neil said: "You all saw, well, those of you who watched saw that I did not get selected by Coleen to go to Tenerife, but it was all great fun."
He continued: "What I'm not going to do now.. I'm not going to dish any dirt, I'm not going to say anything about anybody that is bad or anything like that at all."
It comes as Coleen recently spoke candidly about her bittersweet experience on Celebs Go Dating. The 61-year-old joined the programme hoping to find love again after two unsuccessful marriages and the conclusion of her last known public relationship in 2023.
Speaking to her son Shane and daughter Ciara on their Nolans Uncensored podcast, she said of the experience: "I've got to say, I've never had so much fun doing a TV show as I have on Celebs Go Dating.
Coleen went on to describe the series as "one of the hardest" she has worked on because of the gruelling 14 to 15-hour filming days, though she still had "the best time" with her co-stars.
"Unfortunately, the dating side of it has been an absolute disaster for me," she added.
Celebs Go Dating can be streamed on Channel 4 online with new episodes released weeknights on E4.
