Alex Bourne has made his debut in Buying London, competing against the likes of rival Daniel Daggers, who has sold more than £5 billion worth of property in the British capital. However, Alex exclusively revealed to Express.co.uk that one multi-million pound home on his own list is magical in more ways than one.

He was involved with the sale of a visually arresting gothic property where scenes from the Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets movie were filmed. The 6,000 square ft penthouse apartment is located in the impressive St Pancras Chambers Clocktowers, just above the landmark Renaissance St Pancras Hotel building.

Any regular visitor to London will be familiar with the unmissable architecture, and the neon pink sports car that has been parked semi-permanently in front of the Victorian hotel since the pandemic. However, it's what viewers don't see from the outside which is the most intriguing of all.

Alex explained: "The penthouse is an incredible property. It's got exposed beams and it's actually one of my favourite buildings in London." Raving about the apartment's unique "character" and "unbelievable entertainment space", he admitted it's among the most memorable in his portfolio, which has ranged in price from £1 million properties to those over £200 million.

Another of his favourite sales - the one which kicked off his real estate company London House - was a £17 million Knightsbridge apartment for a member of a Middle Eastern royal family. Shockingly, he'd never been to London before making the hugely pricey purchase there - and Alex set about making him feel at home.

"We went out and purchased rugs with him, found him a personal chef and security, and it built up a long-term relationship with that gentleman, who in turn has sold with us five times over," he continued.

"I think the real treat about what we do is becoming friends with our clients. Some people describe us as a private members' club."

Some property sales have seen him race against the clock to complete everything in time, though, as he fielded clients' increasingly outlandish and exacting demands.

"We've found chefs for people, recording studios, car showrooms - lots of requests, and we don't just stop at selling property. We sell the whole lifestyle," he declared.

One client asked for an entire room to be totally transformed on a whim after having a "dream in the middle of the night" - and gave Alex a deadline of just two days to complete it.

"They envisaged it as gold and marble and green, which was very different... we [had to] arrange for the marble to be shipped over from Italy... [and] had to explain to them that it couldn't be done in two days!" the property expert exclaimed.

Fortunately, the client agreed to the more realistic deadline of three weeks, which he described as "record speed".

That's just one of the outrageous requests Alex has received from his high-net-worth buyers, as he gave Express.co.uk a glimpse into the no-limits lives of the super-wealthy.

"We listen to what lifestyle they want and then we provide it without judgment. We've been asked for helicopter pads to be put in at country homes, I've seen swimming pools which turn into dancefloors - I've been very privileged to see some unbelievably lavish properties," he explained.
