Princess Kate and Prince William are looking for a new member of staff as royal fans look to the mum-of-three's return. Kensington Palace is searching for someone to handle the Prince and Princess of Wales's communications for engagements and projects.

The full time role requires travel between royal residences as well as joining William and Kate on overseas visits.

Based at Kensington Palace, the successful candidate must be able to "handle sensitive information" with "tact and discretion" at all times, according to the job description.

News of the Palace role comes after reports Kate is hoping to attend the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in November if she is well enough.

It comes after Princess Kate gave a candid insight into her recovery, confirming she has completed her preventative chemotherapy. She said she is looking to make a light return to public duty, but her main focus is "staying cancer-free".

The princess might also attend the annual, televised Together at Christmas concert which she hosts from Westminster Abbey, according to The Sunday Times.

It reports that after a "restful" summer at the Waleses' Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, Kate is starting to think about the coming months.

Since her cancer diagnosis, Kate has appeared in public at the men's final at Wimbledon in July after she made her first outing for six months at Trooping the Colour in June.

No date has been set for her return to public life, but the princess is understood to be holding more regular meetings as she works from home.

She is not expected to join William at the Earthshot Prize in November. Kate didn't attend the Singapore ceremony in November last year.

In an update ahead of Trooping, she said in a moving written message she was making good progress, but was "not out of the woods yet" and was having "good days and bad days" as she continued her treatment.

The princess said on Friday (September 6) she was "looking forward to working" with the UK's new Chief Scout, Dwayne Fields.

A personal welcome message from Kate, who is joint president of the Scout Association, was posted on the Waleses' official social media account.

Kate's cancer diagnosis is one of two health blows the Royal Family has suffered in the second year of King Charles's reign.

The monarch was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February during a routine prostate examination.

King Charles has gradually returned to public duties, undertaking dozens of visits, meetings and events.

The King and Queen Camilla were seen laughing and in good spirits as they visited the Braemar Gathering Highland Games on Saturday.
