Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to brutally "snub" the late Queen Elizabeth II prior to her death on this day in 2022.

According to expert Robert Lacey, Meghan and Harry refused two separate invitations from the late monarch to spend time with the Royal Family in 2019.

The late monarch reportedly invited the couple and their then-newborn son Archie to spend some of the summer holiday with her at Balmoral. The second invitation came when the late Queen wanted Harry, Meghan and Archie - now aged five - to spend Christmas at Sandringham. The family, instead, opted to spend six weeks in Canada instead.

As per the Mirror, Mr Lacey previously said: "To compound it, as the Christmas holidays approached Harry and Meghan snubbed the Queen for a second time. They had not gone to stay at Balmoral with her in the summer, and they decided that they couldn't join her at Sandringham for the New Year break either."

The pair, who are now also parents to three-year-old Lilibet, announced that they were stepping down as senior working royals in 2020. The couple now reside in California with Archie and Lilibet.

Prince Harry pushes ahead with Home Office security battle despite last-minute UK visits

Prince Harry is set to go ahead with his Home Office security battle despite his recent visits to the UK, it has been reported.

The Mail on Sunday has revealed that the Duke will press ahead after losing his "frankly hopeless" bid to appeal the decision earlier this year.

The publication understood that a two-day hearing will go ahead in April in the latest dramatic twist to Harry's three-year legal fight with the British government about his UK security. It has been reported that Harry's determination is due to his desire to return to the UK more often.

Harry first sought a judical review over the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) to remove his right to automatic police protection after he left the working Royal Family. However, the Court of Appeal granted him leave to challenge the High Court judgment back in May.

Now a court official has confirmed that a date has been set for Harry's appeal to be heard in London, starting on either April 8 or 9.

Queen Elizabeth was at peace during final moments and had ‘no regrets’ about her life

Queen Elizabeth was said to be at complete peace just days before her death and had “no regrets” about her life, according to one of her last visitors at Balmoral.

The Right Reverend Dr Ian Greenshields, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, was with Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral Castle over the summer of 2022 as her guest.

He was one of the last people to see and speak with the late Queen before she peacefully passed away on September 8.

Speaking to MailOnline last year before the first anniversary of her death, Dr Greenshields shared how the late Queen talked a lot about her faith and her father George VI in her final days and seemed to remain mentally sharp.

Although frail, he said she spoke openly about her faith, her father King George VI and her love for Scotland.

Unearthed photo shows William's 'first royal wave' in sweet moment with Charles and Diana

An unearthed photo shows Prince William's “first royal wave” in a sweet moment with Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

The image shows Diana, Princess of Wales, holding young Prince William as they boarded the royal plane at Aberdeen Airport in Scotland.

The princess can be seen asking William to wave, which he doesn’t appear to understand so doesn't wave.

Then, as Diana waves, the prince copies his mother’s actions and joins her in waving.

This is possibly an early, even first, royal wave from a then 16th-month-old William on October 24, 1983.

Prince Harry's sly 11-word dig at King Charles after bombshell Oprah interview

Prince Harry appeared to make a sly dig at King Charles when speaking about the decision to be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

The Duke of Sussex said that, unlike others hiding behind "palace sources", he was "upfront" about what he wanted to say in regards to his time in the Firm.

Taking to his bombshell memoir Spare, which was releasd last January, Harry wrote: "I told them that I failed to see how speaking to Oprah was any different from what my family and their staff had done for decades – briefing the press on the sly, planting stories.

"And what about the endless books on which they’d co-operated, starting with Pa’s 1994 crypto-autobiography with Jonathan Dimbleby? Or Camilla’s collaborations with the editor Geordie Greig.

"The only difference was that Meg and I were upfront about it. We chose an interviewer who was above reproach, and we didn’t once hide behind phrases like 'Palace sources'..."
