The Duke of Sussex has reached out to the Princess of Wales following her most recent appearance at the Wimbledon Men's Final on July 14, a source has claimed.

Princess Kate has only made two official royal engagements following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. The first was at the King's official birthday parade - Trooping the Colour, and her second at Wimbledon, where she presented Carlos Alcaraz with the winning trophy after he won the Grand Slam for a second year.

An insider told Heat Magazine that Harry had watched the match: "Harry was watching Wimbledon and was thrilled to see Kate looking so radiant. He sent her a note to congratulate her and let her know how happy he was to see her out."

He added he was grateful Kate was "on the mend" and able to "get back to duties".

The Princess of Wales received a standing ovation from the Wimbledon crown in an outpouring of joy at her second public appearance in 2024.

Kate watched Carlos Alcaraz's dominant straight-sets win over Novak Djokovic and presented both men with their respective trophies at the very end of the match on Centre Court.

Afterwards, six-time Wimbledon winner Djokovic said: "It was of course a privilege to be in her presence again.

"I've said to her that it is very nice to see her in good health. She seems to be in good health."

This year, Princess Kate sat in the royal box with her younger sister Pippa Middleton, and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, nine. The three walked to their seats with ongoing applause and cheers from the crowds.

Charlotte, nine, is no stranger to centre court as last year she attended the Wimbledon Single Men's final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic along with her older brother Prince George, which saw Carlos clinch the winner's trophy.

On the Player’s Lawn before the game, Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte met two groups - one of female players and one of people on the ‘Work at Wimbledon’ programmme which supports young people from a range of backgrounds with roles at the Championships.

Kate paid tribute to Andy Murray earlier during the tennis tournament, saying he should be "so very proud" after he missed out on a final match at Wimbledon.

In a personally signed message on social media, Kate wrote: "An incredible Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud Andy Murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C."
