Prince Harry is facing a Father's Day dilemma, as a Royal expert suggests he knows the "world will be watching to see if he's big enough to reach out to his father", King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex relocated to sunny Montecito, California four years ago.

Alongside his wife Meghan Markle, they stepped down from their senior Royal duties just months before their transatlantic move.

Since moving, Prince Harry has made only a few trips back to his homeland, this year returning just twice.

Harry flew back to England in February after hearing about his father's cancer diagnosis - during this quick visit, he spent around 30 minutes with his dad.

He returned again last month for an Invictus Games event at St Paul's Cathedral but didn't get a chance to meet with the King due to clashing schedules.

As Father's Day approaches, Royal author and expert Tom Quinn tells the Mirror. : "King Charles' birthday and Father's Day are both a nightmare for Harry.

He knows the world will be watching to see whether he is big enough to reach out to his father. He is determined to try to ignore his troubled relationship with his father and he will certainly send a warm message.

It's easy to forget that Harry really does love his father, he just hates the fact that Charles seems always to support William when there is a family dispute."

Meanwhile, according to Mr Quinn, the Duke of Sussex is even having "struggles to schedule a call with King Charles".

Mr Quinn further confessed that Harry's endeavours to schedule a call with his father are met with evasion, claiming: "Harry has tried to schedule a call with his father already, but his father is prevaricating with Camilla advising against anything that might upset King Charles."

The shifting dynamics of the Royal family will be under watchful eyes, as Father's Day fast approaches on June 16, followed closely by the King's official birthday on June 17 and then his actual birthdate on November 14, when he turns 76.

Prince Harry's representatives have been approached for comment.
