Prince Harry’s visa application is under review and now Hunter Biden is on trial for a very similar reason, allegedly making a false claim on a federal application that pertains to drug use.

The Biden administration has stepped in to try and help Harry and stop the information from being released because it’s considered private, but when it comes to Hunter, his father, President Joe Biden, said he will accept the jury's verdict and will rule out a pardon, reports AP News.

Daily Express reached out to immigration lawyer Gita Gorji as to whether or not the Biden case will influence Prince Harry’s visa case with Ms Gorji saying it’s like comparing apples to oranges.

Ms Gorji said: “They are both federal application forms, but their intent is different and they can be asking completely different things on the actual forms with just the slightest difference in the verbiage.”

Like Harry, Hunter wrote about using drugs in his memoir, Beautiful Things, which is being used against him in court, also like Harry.

While the the forms in question may be similar, the cases themselves are very different.

Harry’s visa application is up for debate but Harry himself is not on trial, nor was he present when the case — Heritage Foundation vs US Homeland Department of Security — went to trial in DC.

Mr Biden, on the other hand, is being charged with three felonies which include lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the application by saying he was not a drug user and illegally having the gun for 11 days.

The case went to trial on Thursday, June 6, and is back in session today. If found guilty, he could face up to 25 years in prison.

Harry’s visa form is currently in chambers with Judge Carl Nichols, who is presiding over the DC court case. There has been no activity since March.

Harry’s current visa is valid, and he is not at risk of having it revoked, the problem is when he goes to renew his visa, there could be an investigation, says Ms Gorji.

The immigration lawyer said: “There is always something that triggers the commencement of an investigation. In visa matters, usually USCIS or the Department of State only becomes aware of the issue when the foreign national applies for some kind of benefit, like if Harry were to apply for a green card.”

She added: “Then the officer would look to his past applications and see if anything would make him inadmissible, fraud and/or misrepresentation being one factor.”
