Princess Kate has been spotted out and about with her family in recent weeks, according to reports. The Princess of Wales has been undergoing cancer treatment since her shock announcement in March.

During the video announcement, Kate explained how she would be starting preventative chemotherapy after receiving the diagnosis earlier this year.

She has since received an outpouring of love, with Kensington Palace saying they have been inundated with "tens of thousands" of get-well-soon cards, according to the Daily Mail.

Kate has taken a step back from public duties as she focuses on her recovery and spending time with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Palace officials have said they have been "touched" by the love and affection showed to Kate since her announcement.

The correspondence team are hoping to write to everyone who has sent letters, despite the high volume being difficult to keep up with.

All correspondence send to members of the Royal Family are dealt with by the Court Post Office, with up to 1,000 letters expected in a normal week.

Since her diagnosis, Kate has been surrounding herself with family, with royal sources revealing her "circle of trust is tiny", adding it primarily consists of her mother Carole, and siblings Pippa and James.

A friend of Princess Kate and Prince William said: "The key thing for her now is avoiding any kind of stress or anxiety and just getting on with the business of getting better. They will bail out and be off to Sandringham the moment school breaks up."

The friend also mentioned that Princess Kate prefers to lean on her immediate family rather than the couple's broader circle of friends.

While many friends, including Prince William who will serve as best man, are expected to attend the Duke of Westminster's wedding next month, Princess Kate has chosen to stay close to her family.

They told The Daily Beast: "The circle of trust is tiny. She has been surrounded by Carole and Michael, and (sister) Pippa and (brother) James have obviously been there for her as well.

"They are an incredibly tight family, and Catherine feels absolutely confident relying on them. They have been there for her for decades and never let her down."
