Kate answers rare question about her look while charmed by tot: 'I don't even know!'
KATE, Duchess of Cambridge, was asked about her iconic style during a recent engagement.
Kate Middleton and William cuddle pup on visit to Lancashire
Kate and Prince William travelled together to rural Lancashire on Thursday, where they visited Church on the Street, a community hub launched in 2019 to combat homelessness and support vulnerable people. Among the people the Duchess met at the centre, there were Trudi and Alastair Barrie, who introduced Kate to their beautiful baby girl Anastasia.
Kate was caught cooing over the baby while speaking to Mr and Mrs Barrie.
In fact, the Duchess appeared to be so captured by the adorable tot she didn't hear a rare direct question about her look.
Mrs Barrie asked her: "Where are your boots from, madam?"
The Duchess only responded after Anastasia's mother asked the question again.
Kate, amid laughter, surprisingly responded: "Oh, I don't even know!"
During her visit to Lancashire, Kate donned an elegant camel coat, a mocha-coloured knit skirt paired with a matching jumper and chestnut brown suede boots.
Kate had not been spotted wearing these boots in public before, as highlighted by the fashion blog What Kate Wore.
Eagle-eyed royal watchers have not been able to identify the brand of the footwear, but the blog believes they could be a pair of Saint Laurent Jane 95 or Saint Laurent Jane 90 Boots.

Kate's attention to Anastasia and her decision to hold her as she was posing for a picture with the family prompted William to joke about having a fourth child.
Looking over at his wife, he quipped: "Don't give my wife any more ideas!"
Moreover, while Kate was handing back the baby to the Barries, William joked again: "Don't take her with you!"
This isn't the first time the topic of a fourth child for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has emerged during an official engagement.
During a visit to Northern Ireland in February 2019, Kate admitted to feeling "broody" as she met a five-month-old baby.
The father of the child cheekily asked: "Baby number four?"
To which the Duchess replied: "I think William would be a little worried."
Again, during a visit to Bradford in January two years ago, Kate told a royal fan while speaking about her children: "I don't think William wants anymore."
While at the centre, William also shared a touching moment with an 11-year-old boy who, like him, lost his mum at a young age.
Speaking to Deacon Glover for approximately 15 minutes, the Duke urged the child not to stop talking about his mother and keep her memory alive.
While in Lancashire, the Duke and Duchess visited Clitheroe Community Hospital too, to hear from frontline staff how they have been coping during the pandemic.
The Duchess of Cambridge is to step out for another engagement this week, as announced by Kensington Palace.
Kate is to visit Shout on Wednesday to mark an incredible milestone reached by the service.
The 24/7 free text messaging support service offers support to anyone experiencing a crisis or struggling to cope with their mental health.
After its launch in May 2019, Shout staff held conversations with more than one million people in need.
