Gardeners' World star Monty Don shared more about his new venture away from the BBC show.

Last month, the 69-year-old presenter announced that he would be going on tour at the end of the year.

"In November I shall be doing a tour, visiting towns and cities right across the UK, and in Ireland," he said in a video posted on Instagram. "So join me then. I very much hope to see you there."

Monty will be travelling all around the UK, appearing in venues such as the De Montfort Hall in Leicester to Usher Hall in Edinburgh, Scotland. Unfortunately for fans, a number of the locations are already sold out.

However, others are in luck as Monty announced he has added two more dates to the list. He will now be in Salford Quays twice, hosting two shows from The Lowry across the day on November 10.

The horticulturist will also appear at Harrogate Convention Centre in early December. Alongside an image of Monty and his tour dates was the caption: NEW DATES | More shows have blossomed! @themontydon will be live at the @harrogateconventioncentre and in Salford for a second show at @the_lowry.

"With tickets still available across the tour, don’t miss an extraordinary evening filled with wonderful tales from his career in gardening. Monty's followers flocked to the comments to react to the news, with one writing: "Saw this at the Barbican last autumn. An excellent evening out. He’s a great raconteur. Funny, witty and informative. Highly recommended."

"So looking forward to this Monty," commented a second as another declared: "Got my tickets". However, despite the new dates, others were still begging the broadcaster to add a few more.

"Still nothing in Norwich," wrote one disappointed fan. Another asked: "Will he be in America at all? Want to see him so bad."

A third added: "Maybe pop over to Belfast? - so close! You have SO MANY fans here who’d love to hear you Monty." Echoing this, someone else posted: "Monty, I've loved all your TV programmes, bought your books, listened to various Gardeners World podcasts (loved the one about your dogs!).... but I live in NZ. Is there ANY chance you will come over here in a tour? Pleeease!"

Earlier in the week, Monty issued an update on the next series of Gardeners' World. The TV star has fronted the BBC show since 2003 after taking over from Alan Titchmarsh.

Sharing a behind the scenes snap of a BBC cameraman, Monty revealed he is currently filming new episodes of the beloved show. He wrote: "Filming for GW on the Mound this morning."
