Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has shared an important update with her followers after taking a break for the summer.

Sharing a series of snaps from her summer on Instagram, Susanna told fans that she will be back on screens on Monday September 2.

After giving fans a montage of glamorous pictures, Susanna wrote: "ELLO SEPTEMBER! Back to your screens tomorrow (with @edballs) after an incredible summer - looking forward to seeing you all.

She gave a list of what she had been up to, writing: "1 & 2 Ibiza - my happy place with my boys (didn’t bump into Angela Raver clubbing)

"3 Saw amazing shows including @adriandunbar1 in @kissmekateuk. 4 & 5 Swiftie for a night with friends.6 Precious time with Mum - and Dad too

"7 Read a stack of books - here are some, all recommended. 8 Returning tomorrow to OFFICIALLY the BEST NEWS PROGRAMME @GMB thanks to @nationalrealitytvawards."

Susanna was inundated with comments from her friends and followers as she shared her news, with many thrilled to see her back on screens.

Julia Bradbury wrote: "Happy you had such a lovely summer. Back to the early starts tomorrow."

Susanna's co-star Laura Tobin chimed in: "See you tomorrow," as Richard Arnold joked: "When is half term?"

Fans also rushed to the post, as one said: "Yay missed you on TV your beautiful always."

Another added: "That looks a great Summer, pleased you had a great time but even more pleased you & Ed are back with us tomorrow..can't believe it's the 'bers already!!"

A fourth wrote: "Thank goodness you are back."

Susanna's post also confirmed Ed Balls will be back on screens with her, despite him being surrounded by controversy before his exit.

GMB came under fire for allowing Ed to interview his wife, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, on the show, as viewers accused the show of bias.

GMB airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
