Steph McGovern is a well-recognised face across TV for her presenting gigs on Channel 4's Steph’s Packed Lunch and BBC Breakfast, however, her life away from screens remains a mystery.

Throughout her career as a public figure, the 42-year-old has remained very tight-lipped about her personal life, only unveiling small and selective details about her family.

The TV star is currently in a long-term relationship, but the identity of her girlfriend has remained under wraps.

Although her name has never been revealed, it was previously reported that her partner works as a BBC executive.

In 2019, the family expanded as Steph welcomed their first child, a now four-year-old daughter, who is also kept away from the limelight.

While her partner never appears on her social media pages, Steph shares glimpses of their daughter online but ensures her face remains hidden.

On Monday, the presenter took a hilarious selfie while the youngster sat on her shoulders during a trip outdoors.

In the caption, she shared: “Forget Botox, just get yourself a child to pull your face back instead. A facelift that’s head and shoulders above the rest.”

In a 2022 interview, Steph revealed why she would rather keep the identities of her loved ones private and explained: “I would just get too mad if I started reading negative things about them.

“My daughter has no choice and my partner's not in the public eye, so I wouldn't want to subject them to the opinions of others.”

Steph also addressed her decision on Suzi Ruffel’s Out podcast and stated: “I just want to do my job and I know that my job comes under certain scrutiny, and profile.”

As for her future plans, she confessed: “I don't think more children are on the cards. It's a bit like the Strictly question.

“It feels like a no but I'm not going to say a definitive no because you don't know.”
