Brad Pitt's 'one-word' reaction to estranged daughter Shiloh's bombshell name decision

Brad Pitt is reportedly "devastated" that his daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has attempted to distance herself more from him.

On her 18th birthday on May 27, Brad and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt submitted a petition to the Los Angeles court to have her father’s last name removed from her surname.

A source has now confirmed to US Weekly that rumours swirling stating that Shiloh hired — and paid for — her own lawyer to handle her case are true.

And now, Brad, 60, is believed to be crushed by his daughter's bombshell decision.

"Brad was devastated by this choice," an insider close to the matter told the outlet.

“To him, it was more than a change of name — it was a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years," they went on to say.

This wouldn't be the first time one of the Fight Club star's children has publically turned their back on him.

Last November, Shiloh’s older sister, Zahara, 19, introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie, dropping Pitt, at a sorority initiation ceremony at Spelman College.

Then again in May, Brad and Angelina’s youngest daughter, Vivienne, 15, did the same as she was credited as Vivienne Jolie in the poster for the Broadway musical The Outsiders, which the youngster co-produced with her mum.

Brad and Angelina, 49, who finalised their divorce in 2019, also share Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Vivienne’s twin brother, Knox, 15.

It seems all six of the Hollywood stars' children have sided with their mother, as the two stars continue to battle it out in court over custody issues and their French winery, Château Miraval.

“Sadly, Brad doesn’t have much of a relationship with his kids,” a second source revealed to the outlet, as they noted: “He’s not ready to give up on them."

A third insider pointed out that “Brad’s putting on a brave face," but "he’s finding it extremely difficult to come to terms with [what’s happening].”
