Dermot O’Leary announced he was a “proud husband” as he flaunted his wife Dee Koppang’s latest addition to her growing career in film.

While the This Morning presenter has become one of the most recognised presenters on TV, Dee was often shrouded in mystery.

Despite his very public-facing role, Dermot’s wife has preferred to stay away from the limelight and instead spends time behind the cameras as a TV and film producer.

The mother of one has an impressive CV having worked on some of Netflix’s biggest shows such as The Crown and Bridgerton.

Following the trailer release of Disney+’s upcoming series Rivals, Dermot shared the clip on Instagram and revealed Dee worked on the show and gained a directing credit.

In the caption, the thrilled presenter wrote: “Proud husband klaxon.

“Cannot wait to finally see this. Congrats @deekoppangoleary for being one of the Directors on… RIVALS! 1986 here we come!”

As well as the upcoming production, Dee has also worked on BBC drama The Split, produced and directed the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show since 2009 and assisted with the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympic Games.

The couple started dating in 2002 after meeting at work and they were together for nine years before Dermot proposed during a trip to New York City.

Dermot and Dee tied the knot in September 2012 with a star-studded wedding in Kent.

Among the guests, the late Caroline Flack, James Corden, Holly Willoughby, Chris O’Dowd and Bear Grylls were in attendance.

As for Rivals, the series is an adaptation of the 1988 Jilly Cooper best-selling novel of the same name.

It will star an ensemble cast including David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Katherine Parkinson, Lisa McGrillis, Alex Hassell, Emily Atack and Danny Dyer.
