Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh has reportedly filed to drop her father’s last name and the actor is not taking the news well.

The 18-year-old reportedly made the move to legally change her name from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie just last week and the father-of-six has been left devastated according to People.

A source told the outlet that he is “upset” about the change as he “never felt more joy” than when Shiloh was born.

They claimed this latest blow is a reminder “that he’s lost his children” amid the bitter divorce with their mom.

While the source insisted the Hollywood star is still very happy in his new relationship with Ines de Ramon, the distance his split with Angelina created between him and his children still “pains him”.

Daily Express has contacted Brad Pitt’s representatives for comment.

Last week, Shiloh celebrated her 18th birthday by reportedly filing to change her name and she isn’t the only one of her siblings dropping the Pitt moniker.

Her older sister Zahara has previously introduced herself officially as Zahara Marley Jolie.

Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that Brad and Angelina’s youngest daughter, 15-year-old Vivienne, changed her name as she made her stage debut.

In the new musical The Outsiders, which was produced by Angeline, Vivienne is listed as just Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill although it is not clear if this has been legally changed or if the teen has simply adopted a stage name.

Brad has reportedly had a strained relationship with all six of his children since his ex-wife filed for divorce and sole custody in 2016 over “irreconcilable differences”.

The former Hollywood power couple have been locked in a bitter court battle that has been so tumultuous a judge opted to declare the two legally single in 2019 while they continued to argue over their terms of divorce.

The legal battle is expected to come to a close this year as the pair iron out a few last debates such as the sale of their French vineyard.
