Our Yorkshire Farm fans inundated Amanda Owen’s Instagram comments after the mum of nine was fell victim to body shamers.

In recent months, Amanda has been enjoying life away from the spotlight after closing Ravenseat Farm to the public and the conclusion of their Channel 5 series.

Although her last appearance on Instagram came with a selfie in April her daughter, Raven, 23, has regularly kept fans updated with frequent posts. While son Reuben returned to screens with his reality spin-off series, Life in the Dales.

On Wednesday, the mother and son duo reunited for a sweet selfie in the car which was met with mixed reaction from Amanda’s followers.

The 49-year-old grinned as she posed in the car with her eldest son wearing a low-cut pink and white gingham put, as Rueben opted for a bright orange jumper and a thumbs up.

While many were pleased to see Amanda return to social media, many of her fans came into her defence after she was targeted by trolls about her appearance.

This included one critic writing: “Looks bl**dy skinny to me. All the fame gone to her head!”

@cheryllsumner hit back: “Body shaming is not ok, cruel and unnecessary remark, you try working full time and raising 9 kids, wow! Some people.”

@roberto46 echoed: “If you got nothing nice to say, then say nothing.”

As @adelestent praised: “She is really beautiful and is a powerhouse of a women and the best Mum ever!! And you know if we can be anything in this world we should be kind.”

A fifth fan added: “OMFG are you for real! I can't believe you typed that. Rude!”

Amanda has remained relatively quiet on social since Our Yorkshire Farm came to an end.
