Gabby Logan has likened her 23-year marriage to "a team sport" as she opened up about what she has learned about long-lasting love with her husband Kenny Logan over the years. The 51-year-old and the ex rugby player, 52, are one of showbiz's most successful couples after meeting in a bar 25 years ago and going on to marry two years later.

Like many couples, the pair have faced a number of challenges along the way from undergoing IVF to his prostate cancer battle, but have managed to pull each other through. Reflecting on her relationship in a new interview, Gabby said: "It’s like a team sport.

"Sometimes there’s going to be a player who needs picking up, and other times they’re the star of the game and it’s someone else who needs the boost. With a marriage, it’s the same: you’re never walking along the same bit of road at the same time.

"We also never stop working at it." Gabby went on to say marriage "isn’t something you can just leave to be and hope it’s all right in 15 years" adding to Good Housekeeping Magazine: "It needs a bit of assessment.”

Back in 2005, the presenter and Kenny welcomed their twins Lois and Reuben into the world via IVF after struggles with fertility. Reflecting on motherhood last year, Gabby admitted she wish she could've had more children as she always wanted four.

Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she shared: “I thought I'd have more children, I always thought I'd have four children.

"Just the other night I said to Kenny, when we were talking about our empty house and the future, that we should have had more children."

Proud mum Gabby is no stranger to being open about her relationship and family life, but admits her children have cringed over some of the things she's said publicly.

Both she and Kenny have discussed what their sex life has been like following his prostate cancer battle and both Reuben and Lois were not impressed.

Quizzed on the topic again earlier this year, she told The Times: "I mean, I won’t talk about it in too much detail, my kids will go mental as they think I’ve already said enough.

"But I think why it was important is because it is a taboo subject that people don’t really want to talk about."

Kenny was diagnosed with cancer back in February 2022 after Gabby urged him to go to the doctors.

Last year, he thankfully received the all-clear and while he says he is finally back to himself both mentally and physically, he admits his sex life is "not as consistent".

Speaking to The Telegraph, he expressed the importance of being open about taboo subjects and was "quite happy to talk about erectile dysfunction and all these other things because I was like, 'It is a symptom'."

Kenny went on to say that from a sexual point of view, things weren't consistent but that the process back to normality could take up to 18 months.

"Within a month, I was getting movement, where he says, 'That’s amazing'. So it’s just not as consistent. The beauty is you can take a tablet and it changes things," he added.
