Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has sparked a divide with a tweet he shared during Britain's Got Talent on Tuesday evening. The 46-year-old took a swipe at some of this year's acts being from the likes of Ukraine, Japan and South Korea, writing in view of his 365,000 followers: "Great show tonight on Britain’s Got Talent - which country you voting for?" Many social media users flocked to James' post to share their thoughts, as one fumed: "Why does it matter where the acts are from?"

A second commented: "Why have we as a country been so insular and entitled? Who gives two f**ks? Just enjoy a talent show and don’t be a d**k about it. F**k me." A third added: "Soooo disappointed. They put through a team skipping over that amazing group. Getting worse every year, not just because the majority aren't British."

A fourth commented: "First couple of years it was great viewing. Sadly, like X Factor, it is well past it’s sell by date." A fifth fumed Japanese double-dutch group Haribow going through to the final instead of Ravi’s Dream Team, who were both golden buzzer acts.

"We must be an untalented bunch here to keep needing people from all corners of the world to perform," another typed. "I used to really enjoy it. I don't bother watching now. Generally the same type of acts. Some invited to attend because they already have a degree of exposure or have been on other talent shows abroad," added a seventh.

Haribow were put through to the final after receiving the majority of judges' votes, while magician Jack Rhodes won the public vote.

The pair join opera singer Innocent Masuku and Ssaulabi Taekwondo Troupe, who were the winners of the first semi-final.

Tonight, eight more acts take to the stage in the hope of following in their footsteps.

The latest line-up includes; Sydnie Christmas, Duncan Murray, Magicians Assemble, Rask AI, Troll Dancers, Leightonjay Halliday, Mike Woodhams and Heather Holliday.

West End hopeful Sydnie wowed the judges and audience with her rendition of Andrea McArdle's Tomorrow during the first aired round of auditions.

Her vocals particularly impressed Amanda Holden, who chose her as her first golden buzzer act.

This year, Amanda and Bruno Tonioli broke tradition and pressed the honourable buzzer more than once respectively.

The judge awarded her second to Nabe, who left the panel in hysterics with his silly hair impressions.

Bruno awarded singer Taryn Charles with his first buzzer, followed by the Phoenix Boys.

In a first for the show in 17 years, Amanda's daugther Hollie and Simon Cowell's son Eric gatecrashed the stage to give Haribow the final golden buzzer of the series.

Simon told the group at the time: "That was my son, Amanda's daughter, egged on by the audience. We are going to see you in the finals, congratulations."

Britain's Got Talent continues tonight at 8pm on ITV and ITVX.
