Piers Morgan reacts as Keir Starmer slammed by George Galloway with Putin comparison
George Galloway left Piers Morgan stunned as he admitted to trusting Vladimir Putin more than Labour's Keir Starmer.
George Galloway made a startling political declaration during his recent appearance on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored talk show.
The broadcaster took to social media with a sneak peek from the upcoming episode and captioned the post: “Not much leaves me gob-smacked, but this… wow.”
In the teaser, the MP for Rochdale was challenged on his statement about trusting Vladimir Putin and admitted: “I trust him more than I trust Keir Starmer.”
The admission left Piers stunned as he hit back: “Really?” and added in disbelief: “You trust Vladimir Putin more than Keir Starmer?”
George asserted: “I trust him more than I trust Joe Biden. I trust him more than I trust Donald Trump.”
As Piers interjected: “Hang on,” George shut him down with: “Hold on let me finish this statement.”
However, the former GMB presenter added: “I can’t really get past Starmer, you would trust Vladimir Putin more than Keir Starmer?”
George continued: “I wouldn’t trust any of them if they told me what day it was today without checking.
“I don’t trust automatically any politician, I check the facts. We lived through an era and we're sacked because of the result of it in which we were told certain things by our own leaders that turned out to be blatant lies.”

Piers responded: “This is my point, is that you seem to have bought in Putin’s whole justification as [Nigel] Farage has.
“‘He was provoked, he had no option’ to which I say bulls**t. This is a guy who proved in Grozny, who proved in Crimea, who proved in Georgia has proved again in Ukraine he will attack when he smells weakness.”
However, George hit back: “I don’t think that that is true but if it were to be true then you’d find me on the same side of the argument as you.”
His comments come after talk turned to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the ongoing war.
