According to reports, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is growing increasingly impatient with Jadon Sancho. The forward was named on the bench for Sunday’s chastening 2-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle. And with a potential exit on the cards, four years could be about to be wasted…

With no Champions League football to offer the then-Dortmund star, however, the Red Devils again missed out.
Sancho was never going to move to Old Trafford just months after the club had finished sixth in the league table - and without a trophy.
So Solskjaer then changed tact, bringing in Daniel James from Swansea City instead.
In 2020, with United finishing in the top four following the coronavirus-disrupted campaign, the Red Devils then went after Sancho with everything they had.
Solskjaer lobbied club chiefs into spending big, with Borussia Dortmund wanting £108million to let their prized asset go.

Former United star Paul Parker, meanwhile, recently insisted Sancho should be sold and replaced by Brighton star Kaoru Mitoma.
“I really like him. He is very direct and he wants to go on the outside of his opponent, which is a rarity in today’s football,” he said.
“No defender wants that and he is very good at that.

“Mitoma would also be a very good PR-signing. To see a Japanese player at Man United would be a huge story.
“I would love to see him at Man United but then they have to offload some of their wingers and they could start with getting rid of Jadon Sancho.
“I would rather have Mitoma in the squad than him. He has proven himself in the Premier League and I doubt that Sancho will ever do that.
“I think he should go back to Germany and play in his comfort zone where he is best.
“But if he comes to the club, Man United needs to figure out what to do with Marcus Rashford, who is best at the left wing. But that’s a luxury problem to have two good wingers.”
