Man Utd transfer shortlist: Four Jadon Sancho replacements as Erik ten Hag grows fed up
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly growing frustrated with Jadon Sancho's struggles at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag reviews the Newcastle defeat
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is starting to grow impatient with Jadon Sancho amid the 23-year-old’s struggles for consistency, according to reports. The England international joined the club from Borussia Dortmund nearly two years on. However, he continues to blow hot and cold - much to the frustrations of fans and staff members alike.
Manchester United thought Sancho would be a huge asset for many years to come upon bringing the forward to Old Trafford.
But he’s often struggled, failing to live up to expectations under the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick and Ten Hag.
The Manchester Evening News say Ten Hag is now growing ‘impatient’ with the attacker nearly two years on from his exciting move.
As a result, it’s not unfeasible United will look to sell Sancho this summer - especially with the club interested in marquee deals for the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.
Express Sport now takes a look at four players the Red Devils may opt to pursue if they decide to cash in.

Raphinha
United had considered a deal for Raphinha back in the summer.
However, it was always apparent the Brazil international wanted to join Barcelona instead - with the Red Devils then proceeding to recruit Antony.
Raphinha endured a rocky start to life in Catalonia but, these days, has kicked on to become a key player for Xavi over at the Nou Camp.
Yet with Barcelona’s financial situation still looking tricky, they may have to sell some of their best players to balance the books.
Bruno Fernandes is close to Raphinha, with the pair previously playing together at Sporting Lisbon, and a reunion would potentially appeal to the Barcelona forward if he ends up being shown the door.

Hakim Ziyech
Many Chelsea fans were buzzing when the Blues decided to bring in Hakim Ziyech in 2020.
Fast-forward to now, however, and few would condemn the west London giants if they were to show the Morocco international the door.
Chelsea are ready to let Ziyech go this summer, months after the former Ajax star was left heartbroken following the collapse of a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain.
United boss Ten Hag previously managed the 30-year-old in Amsterdam.
And a reunion could suit both parties, with the Red Devils linked with a swoop for Ziyech earlier in the season.

Kingsley Coman
United actually explored signing Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020, after missing out on Sancho.
They were ultimately priced out of a deal, with the France international remaining at the Allianz Arena.
Coman has continued to produce the goods for Bayern, clocking up six goals and four assists from 18 Bundesliga matches this term.
But with Bayern now being managed by Thomas Tuchel, it’s unclear what the German has planned for the future.
United would potentially be able to tempt Bayern into selling Coman if they put down a big offer, while using Sancho as bait in a swap deal wouldn’t be a bad move either.
Neymar
United were previously offered the chance to sign Neymar back in the summer of 2019.
On that occasion they declined, however, with Paris Saint-Germain exploring a potential swap deal involving Paul Pogba at the time.
According to widespread reports, PSG are considering getting rid of Neymar at the end of the season.
It would be a gamble for United, with the Brazil international no longer the superstar he once was.
But new owners may fancy securing a huge name and, despite his stock falling, Neymar remains a player capable of the sublime.
