Man Utd: Are they over-reliant on Bruno Fernandes?
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has responded after Paul Scholes called him ‘too soft’ in his side’s win over Leeds on Sunday. The Portugal international went down in the build-up to Raphinha’s goal at Elland Road. Yet the referee chose to play on and the goal stood before the Red Devils roared back.

“It’s England, no? It’s English football so I have to get used to it, it’s okay.”
Fernandes also admitted he really enjoyed the match, adding: “[It was] unbelievable, I really enjoyed it.
“[There was a] great atmosphere, amazing support from our fans and [it was] a great result for us.”
On Maguire scoring from a set-piece, the first time that’s happened for United this season, Fernandes said: “It’s good to see. We are improving on that.
“[If we] keep on doing the right things, we will score more goals from set-pieces.

“The main point is scoring goals. If it is from set-pieces or whatever it is, we have to score.”
United interim boss Rangnick also spoke out after the match at Elland Road.
And he hailed his side’s attitude, saying: “This is the kind of attitude we need to show if we are to be successful this season, both in the Premier League and Champions League.
“Not only the result, but the way we achieved it.
“It’s important for Wednesday, against Atletico Madrid, but also in the upcoming league games.”

Rangnick also expressed a belief that his side’s win over Leeds was the best response to suggestions of dressing room conflict, amid suggestions Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire were involved in a power struggle.
"We knew that it was an important win today," he stated.
"It was similar to the one against West Ham. That was similarly emotional at the end with the last-second goal.
“But today it was more important, not only that we won the game but the way that we reacted after conceding the equaliser.
"I think a game like this one today you can only win as a team and with the mentality of a team and this was, apart from the three points, the most important thing."
