Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was furious with referee Paul Tierney after seeing his side drop two points following their 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Sunday. Tierney failed to send Harry Kane off for a horror tackle on Andy Robertson in the first half before denying Diogo Jota a penalty after the forward was bundled over by Emerson Royal.

“But what did he do in that situation? And then there is the penalty situation with Diogo Jota.
“Mr Tierney told me Diogo stops on purpose because he wants the foul. First and foremost if you want to shoot you have to stop because you cannot do both.”
Kane opened the scoring for Spurs against the run of play in the 13th minute after the Reds had dominated the opening exchanges.
But the striker was fortunate not to be given his marching orders moments later after he lunged at Robertson’s shin and sent the Scotland international flying before remarkably being let off with a booking.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp later claimed that Kane’s status as the England captain helped him avoid a red card and insisted the player had been “reckless” and “out of control”.

Jota levelled the scores as he headed home Robertson’s cross 10 minutes before the interval.
And the entertainment continued in the second period as Robertson found the back of the net in the 69th minute as he headed in Trent Alexander Arnold’s cross.
But Son Heung-min drew Spurs level five minutes later as he took advantage of an error from Reds goalkeeper Alisson.
Robertson was sensationally sent off following his clash with the Spurs right-back.
