Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted Marcus Rashford could be deployed on the right wing more often after the club’s 3-1 Champions League defeat to PSG on Wednesday. The England international has spent the bulk of his Old Trafford career playing on the left. But he could be in line for a switch now.
Rashford was United’s best player in their Champions League defeat to PSG, with the England international hugely threatening throughout the tie.
His deflected strike drew the Red Devils level after Neymar had opened the scoring, meaning the forward continued his fine run of scoring against the Ligue 1 giants.
In the end, though, United were beaten with late goals from Marquinhos and Neymar giving the French side all three points.
And Solskjaer, speaking after the match at Old Trafford, has expressed a belief that Rashford flourished on the right wing - and hinted he could be played there more often.
"He's taken that role really well. I've been very pleased with Marcus on there,” said the 47-year-old.

“And when he makes a tackle like this, you can't fault the boy.
“We spoke at half time, ‘be sensible’, and he was. But, of course, when you know the decision the referee made, you look back and say maybe you should have.
“There was no reason, from his performance, to take him off. He was lucky to stay on in the first half but that had no bearing on that the referee made a mistake there, that's allowed.
“But Fred knows he shouldn't put his head towards someone although he doesn't touch him."
Meanwhile, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel used a bizarre analogy after the contest - insisting they weren’t through yet despite the win.
