Man United: Henderson return 'depends on De Gea' says pundit
Manchester United would be helping their chances of finishing above Sheffield United in the Premier League table by not allowing Dean Henderson to finish the campaign with the Blades, says former England right-back Glen Johnson. Goalkeeper Henderson has had a fine second season on loan at Sheffield United from Old Trafford. The 23-year-old earned his first call-up to the senior England squad earlier in the campaign following a string of fine performances.

"The annual contracts for seasons are usually done on dates, until like June or July, as opposed to actually saying the season end," Johnson said on talkSPORT.
"So it's a difficult one but I think Manchester United's understanding [is] 'if we've got a chance to bring our player back and hinder their progress', of course they're going to want to do it.
"But personally I think if a player's gone for a season loan, forget the date that's in the contract, I think that they should be allowed to stay for the season, whether that overruns or not.
"If the season's for whatever reason is delayed... Sheffield United have paid a season fee to have him for the season, so therefore they should get him for the season. Look, 99.9 per cent of the time the season finishes on time, so people don't normally talk about these things in contract terms.

"So I think he should be allowed to stay but you can understand why United would want to get him back.
"If they're allowed to [recall him], of course they will.
"At the end of the day, it's not going to be the best thing for the player and it's certainly not going to be the best thing for Sheffield United, but if you're in Man United's camp it's going to be the best thing for you.
"Yeah [he should be allowed to stay at Sheffield United] because Sheffield United have done a deal for the season, a season loan.
